She Kills Monsters is a high-energy, fantasy-driven play that follows the journey of a young woman who delves into the world of Dungeons & Dragons to better understand her late sister. The production features epic battles, mythical creatures, and complex emotional layers, all brought to life through a dynamic blend of live-action and puppetry.
As a puppeteer, Lauren was instrumental in creating and operating a variety of puppets, adding a unique and immersive dimension to the production. She designed and produced puppets such as the whimsical "Vera" balloon puppet, as well as impressive papier-mâché dragon heads that embodied the fantastical elements of the story. Lauren performed as the Vera puppet and operated numerous shadow puppets, mini dragon puppets, and other creatures, all of which enhanced the play’s action and magical atmosphere.
